Overview

Cristo Rey will celebrate its 10th birthday in September 2006.  This first decade has been one of tremendous growth for Cristo Rey.   Our student body has grown from 79 to over 500 students.  Every student is employed through our Corporate Internship Program (CIP). Through the generosity of our donors we have two new buildings housing 27 classrooms, a gymnasium, cafeteria and community library and technology center.

Our innovative Corporate Internship Program has been replicated in 9 other Cristo Rey Network schools from Los Angeles to Boston .  Another three schools are set to open in the next year and the feasibility of another five schools is being studied. Cristo Rey has literally begun a revolution in center-city education.

We take our role as the flagship school in the Network very seriously.  This year we have been working through a strategic planning process asking the question, "What will make Cristo Rey Jesuit High School a better Catholic, Jesuit, college prep institution over the next five years?"  In response to the question new initiatives are being implemented in areas from academics to facilities.
