Message from the President

God has been good to us here at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Some 10 years ago, we opened our school to 80 sophomores and juniors. Our first classes began in an old gym. Today we have 520 students studying in two new buildings and are part of a network of 11 Cristo Rey schools with more on the way to provide quality Catholic college preparatory education to youth in center cities across the country. We are blessed.

I recently visited a sponsor that employs eight of our students through our Corporate Internship Program. I set out to offer my thanks for their faith in our students and instead left with their gratitude for our students who bless their company with their hard work, enthusiasm, and a desire to become leaders for tomorrow. I was surprised to hear that not only do they employ current students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School , but also a number of our alums. It's heartening to know that our friendship continues through college and beyond. This gift ultimately dignifies our families and students with educational opportunities that will allow them to become what we hope, Christian leaders in our community, men and women for others.

As the President of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, I find myself fortunate. I love my work. I am surrounded by great people. Our families and students, faculty and staff, corporate sponsors, our Board Directors, benefactors, alums, etc., are on fire with this mission of providing the best Jesuit Catholic college preparatory education to our center city youth. This passion breathes hope and gives new life. It's hard not to be excited about what happens daily here at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School . I thank God daily for the opportunity to be here and walk with all of you. God bless you all.
