Cristo Rey Extends Library Privileges to Alumni
Do you commute to school and don’t want to make the trek all the way back to campus to find a quiet place to study? Come and take advantage of Cristo Rey’s library! As alumni, you will have access to various computerized databases as well as high-speed internet and printer services. Diane Madrid-Limon, Cristo Rey’s newest librarian, is an expert and is on-hand and willing to be a resource for you.

HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation Scholarship
Postmark DEADLINE: November 1, 2007
Program Description:
The College Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to community college, four-year college, and graduate students of Latino heritage. Award amounts generally range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or 4.00 on a 5.00 scale)
- Have applied for Federal Financial Aid
- Be pursuing first undergraduate or graduate degree

HSBC-North America Scholarship Program
DEADLINE: November 1, 2007
Program Description:
The HSBC-North America Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to sophomore’s and current community college students who will be transferring to a four-year college or university the upcoming academic 2008-2009 year. Award amounts are $2,500.
Please note that these scholarships are designated for the fall term of 2008. Students will have the opportunity to participate in up to two summer internships at HSBC.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
- Be a current undergraduate sophomore or a current community college student planning on transferring to a four-year college or university and will be a Junior status the upcoming academic school year
- Must be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or 4.00 on a 5.00 scale)
- Must be majoring in one of the following: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Science, Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing, or Management
- Must reside in one of the following areas: Los Angeles, CA (LA, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura); Monterey/Salinas, CA (Salinas); San Diego, CA (San Diego); Tampa, FL (Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinella); Jacksonville, FL (Nassau, Duval, Clay, St. Johns); Chicago, IL (Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Will, McHenry); New York, NY (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond); Las Vegas, NV (Clark); Phoenix, AZ (Phoenix-Mesa); Wilmington, DC (New Castle); Bridgewater, NJ (Sussex); or Chesapeake, VA
- Must submit a resume
- Have applied for Federal Financial Aid
- Be pursuing first undergraduate degree
