Tuition & Financial Aid
Cristo Rey provides a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to students from Spanish speaking families with limited financial means. Students at Cristo Rey pay nearly 70% of their tuition through the school’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). We do our best to ensure cost remains at a minimum. There are no extra fees for books or activities. Tuition has maintained the same since 2013.
The maximum any family pays for a student’s tuition for the 2017-2018 school year is $2,950.00. Cristo Rey offers additional aid to families that demonstrate financial need. All students accepted to Cristo Rey complete an application for financial aid during the admission process. Financial aid packages are mailed along with the decision letter on April 1, 2018.
After enrolling at Cristo Rey, students can apply for scholarships toward tuition. Scholarships are based on various factors, such as academic merit, school involvement, service in the community, and having siblings in particular Catholic schools. We also have students that enter Cristo Rey with renewable scholarships previously earned from outside organizations, such as the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, Big Shoulders Fund, IMC Charitable Foundation, and HFS Chicago Scholars.
