Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

What is the LAC?

Leadership Advisory Council (LAC)

The Leadership Advisory Council (LAC) is a group of dedicated young professionals looking to improve inner-city education by devoting their time, creativity, and financial support to the students of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. The LAC helps support the Cristo Rey mission through fundraising efforts, networking, event help, and school-related mentoring opportunities. Since its inception in 2002, the LAC has helped put Cristo Rey on the map as one of the nation's most successful solutions to educational access by advocating for our students and their families throughout the greater Chicagoland area.
The LAC Commitment
Joining the Leadership Advisory Council is committing to the following:
  • Commit your time: grab your calendar, become VIRTUS trained, attend occasional meetings, and pick some volunteering opportunities that interest you.
  • Learn more: experience an onboarding at Cristo Rey at one of the quarterly times. Stay connected to the school by annually visiting Cristo Rey in some way.
  • Invest in our students: commit to a recurring monthly donation - $19.96 - the year Cristo Rey was founded. The cost of this financial contribution can be offset by event corporate sponsorships, company matching gift programs, or gift-in-kind donations for our major events.
  • Be an advocate: spread the word to colleagues and friends by introducing at least one new person to Cristo Rey each year.
LAC Members receive formal recognition in Cristo Rey publications, access to unique networking opportunities, and discounted upgrades to or access at major school fundraising events.
