Philosophy and Purpose of Student Leadership and Activities

The Student Leadership and Activities Program at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School furthers the mission of the school by providing students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, work cooperatively with others, and grow emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. Through this program, students become prepared to assume leadership roles in the civic, religious, professional, and cultural life of their community. Students who participate in the Student Leadership and Activities Program have the opportunity to hold positions of leadership, serve as role models for their peers, represent the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School community, and develop relationships with others.

Students who choose to participate in the Student Leadership and Activities Program will be able to be involved in activities that complement their academic education. Through their participation in this program, students are able to enhance their abilities to be open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving, committed to justice and work experienced. They are able to serve as “Women and Men for Others.”

The Student Leadership and Activities Program allows students to:

• Serve as a contributing member of a club/organization.
• Have opportunities for leadership in their club/organization and in the school community.
• Strengthen organizational skills and personal responsibility.
• Experience a feeling of community and belonging that will help nourish a sense of identity and esteem about themselves and their school.
• Enjoy healthy forms of recreation and fun in a safe environment.

• Talent Show - Friday, May 18th
