Members of the Class of 2026 get a tour of the school from recent graduate Erick Castillo '22.
Dear Friends,
Most people think summertime is a slow time in the life of a school. But let me assure you, we are busier than ever this July, especially this week as we welcomed our Class of 2026 for the first week of Summer Bridge. This is the second year we are hosting our incoming freshmen class with three weeks of academic enrichment prior to the start of school. New this year, we brought back components of Summer Business Training for the afternoon sessions, where volunteers lead students in specialized sessions around workplace communication, email, and other technology skills. Special thanks to the many alumni who returned to work with students this month. Read on to learn more going on at Cristo Rey this summer, and some fun activities kicking off in the fall – like our night at the White Sox for Hispanic Heritage Night on September 23. Join us for a great evening at the park that will be something to remember. Thank you as always for your continued support of and belief in our Cristeros. ¡VIVA Cristo Rey! Gratefully, Antonio Ortiz President |
