Cristo Rey Jesuit seniors at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration on December 12 Merry Christmas from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School! What an incredibly joyous December we've had at Cristo Rey this year. I'm encouraged by our students' successes, both in the classroom and in the office. We are recording some of the highest GPA's in our history this year while our Cristeros continue to balance work and school like true professionals. Read on to see the return of impact that your generosity has offered to our students and alumni. With all of our successes comes the need for more for our students and faculty in the coming year. I hope you will remember Cristo Rey in your year-end giving. We still very much feel the impact of the pandemic and still have about 100 students yet unemployed. And inflation is affecting us with everything from CWSP transportation costs to keeping our building warm as temperatures drop. We are grateful for donors who make a gift, especially at this time of year. Don't forget you can use different vehicles to support Cristo Rey like donor advised funds, gifts of stock, and the generous Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program. And simply sharing our story with others goes a long way. Thank you for your support for our students, alumni, families, and faculty and staff. We would not be where we are without the decades of support of friends like you. Thank you and I hope to see you on campus in 2023. Feliz Navidad and VIVA Cristo Rey! Gratefully, Antonio Ortiz President |
